The total investment was 3.2 million euro, a sum that includes the purchase of a property strategically located in Ramnicu Valcea near the E81 European route, close to a natural gas pipeline, the purchase of 20 buses, that are filled with GNC and the construction of the CNG filling station itself. Shell opens new LNG truck refuelling station in Amsterdam

Shell lngShell announced the opening of its third Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) truck refuelling station in the Netherlands. The station in Amsterdam is located in the western port area, a location with significant turnover from ships to trucks that distribute goods into the city. This follows closely after the official opening of Shell’s first two stations in the country in March and April 2015 in Rotterdam and Waalwijk. Continue reading

ADACThe latest research made by the Germany’s ADAC Customer Barometer shows that the drivers using natural gas cars are the most satisfied with their car’s fuel economy, and the gasoline-powered cars are overestimated for their usage and economy. These results are taken by an online survey including over 20,000 motorists explaining their satisfaction with the fuel consumption.

Mercedes-Benz steps on the gas – the M 936 G natural-gas engine for the Citaro

Mercedes-Benz M 936 GThe Mercedes-Benz Bus and Coach unit is really stepping on the gas: the new M 936 G natural-gas engine delivers the same performance as a diesel engine while setting standards with respect to noise and exhaust emissions. The engine is especially compact and lightweight. It is deployed in both the Mercedes-Benz Citaro NGT rigid bus and the Citaro G NGT articulated bus (NGT = Natural Gas Technology). The start of series production is planned for the autumn of 2015. Continue reading
